Bio
I specialize in concept and visual development, content creation and technical production for interactive applications and digital games. My background includes video game development, 3-D graphics and animation production and project management. I have worked as an animator for Acclaim Entertainment, as a web designer and application developer for New York state government, as an art director for American Museum of Natural History, and as an art director and lead game designer for Aura Interactive. My work is part of the permanent exhibitions at the American Museum of Natural History and has been on display at the ITP show at New York University. As a game design and software development consultant, my clients include Mattel, Sony Entertainment, Sony Ericsson and Georgia state government. I have given talks/workshops/presentations in numerous conferences such as GDC, Montreal International Game Summit, GGDA’s SIEGE, and GDX at SCAD. In 2010, I worked with Blair MacIntyre (director of Augmented Environments Lab, Georgia Tech) to establish the AR Game Studio, an Augmented Reality game research studio sponsored by Qualcomm Inc.. My project “ARhrrrr” has been named and voted one of the top AR games of all time.
I currently hold the position as the Studio Director at Nohero Interactive, and as a Professor and program coordinator of Interactive Design and Game Development at Savannah College of Art & Design (Atlanta campus), where I teach various interactive design and game development courses (check the “Teaching” page).
I received a bachelor degree in computer graphics and animation from New York Institute of Technology and a terminal master’s degree in Interactive Telecommunications Program from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
